Dodge Repair: Front Brakes, dodge caravan, reputable repair shop

Question
I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan with a 3.8 V6
My front brakes were locking up and smoking. After some checking I found that if I remove the ABS fuse the breaks work fine
( other then the ABS and Brake lights on the dash being on)
IF I replace the fuse the brakes will drag again.
Any Ideas?
Joe

Answer
My first thought would be that the wiring at the ABS controller has short circuited in the wiring connector or the controller itself has failed. You should take the van to a reputable repair shop for a proper diagnosis as there is no way to do in in an online forum.
