Dodge Repair: Front axle seal, question pool, hub assembly

I have a 06 dodge mega cab 1500, 5.7. I have a broken u-joint on the driver side. Does the axle pull out freely  or is there a locking clip or pin to be remove from the diff. I want to change the axle seal well I have it apart.

I just found this question in the Question pool so I'll do my best to help you. The front axle shafts do not have any clips to hold them in the differential. So once the hub assembly is removed the axle will slide right out. As far as replacing the oil seal you may want to consider having it done by someone who has the knowledge and special tools necessary to do the job.
