Dodge Repair: Dodge Ram 2500 diesel seat belt alarm, dodge ram 2500, dodge ram 2500 diesel

Question
QUESTION: My seatbelt alarm keeps going on and off even when my seatbelt is firmly secured, with or without a passanger. Every time it turns off and back on (which is every 30 seconds) it rings and it's driving me nuts. I took it to the dealer and they said they would start with a new computer ($1000) but no guarantees that would fix it. (No thanks.) Do you know how to fix it?  If I can't get it working correctly I'd be content to have no seatbelt warning.   I tried diconnecting a fuse but then it turns off too many other features. Is there a wire untder the seat or something under the dashboard that I can remove? Dodge Ram 2500 diesel seat belt alarm

ANSWER: I'll need to know what year truck you have before attempting to answer the question(s).

QUESTION: My truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel.  And it's not the seat belt alarm it's the air bag alarm.  Sorry for the confusion.

Answer
Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the Airbag warning light without first correcting the condition that turned it on. With no information in your question as far as what the findings were, with the exception of 'maybe a computer', I really have no way to help you. Since the dealership you went to wasn't much help, I would take it to another dealer for a thorough diagnostic. Make sure you get all the information as to their findings and repost your question with that info.
