Dodge Repair: overheat, last question, thermostat

One last question or rather two. Is the thermostat oriented right? Can I run it w/o a thermostat, atleast it wouldn't overheat? Thanks.

Yes, the t-stat is in correctly. And no, I would not recommend running the vehicle without it. You could still overheat the engine because the thermostat acts a restrictor in the cooling system. Without it the coolant wouldn't stay in the radiator long enough to cool down.
