Dodge Repair: speed sensor, solenoid pack, transmission control module

QUESTION: I have a 97 dodge stratus and having an issue with it going into limp mode. I've been told that it could be the speed sensor. Where on the vehicle is this component located and what's the average part replacement price?

ANSWER: instead of replacing parts that might not fix it  why dont u get the tranny codes to start with?

QUESTION: I've had the codes read. One of them indicated that it may be the speed sensor. I'd like to visually check the sensor for damage.

ANSWER: what are the codes  if the sensor is damaged  there is not visible signs  it would be internal if any.
