Dodge Repair: 1996 dodge ram power window motor and regulator, power window regulator, power window switch


Question
I took the door panel off but couldn't figure out how to get to the window motor and regulator assembly to swap them out. Is there a trick to this? Thanks in advance

POWER WINDOW MOTOR
Remove the power window switch as described in this group.
On the driver's side only, if equipped with power mirrors, pull the power mirror switch control knob rearward to remove it from the switch stem Power Mirror Switch Knob Remove/Install
Remove the mirror switch retaining nut from switch the Power Mirror Switch Nut
Using a wide flat-bladed tool such as a trim stick, pry the trim panel away from the door around the perimeter and remove the trim panel
NOTE: To aid in the removal of the trim panel, start at the bottom of the panel.

Roll the door watershield away from the bottom of the inner door panel to allow access to the power window regulator screws Power Window Regulator Mounting Screws
Move the door glass to allow access to the glass channel attaching hardware Glass Channel Front Attaching Nut and Glass Channel Rear Attaching Nut
Slide the glass rearward to disengage the channel nuts from the slotted holes in the regulator arm.
Pull the glass to its full up position and tape it to the upper door frame.
Unplug the wiring connector from the power window motor.
Remove the two window track screws and the two rear regulator screws Power Window Regulator Mounting Screws
Loosen the two front regulator screws Power Window Regulator Mounting Screws
Remove the power window regulator and motor unit from the door Power Window Regulator Remove
To install, place the power window regulator and motor unit inside the door and slide the two loose front regulator screws into the slotted holes in the door.
Install the four remaining regulator and track screws.
Tighten the regulator screws to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.)
Move the glass as far rearward into the channel as possible and push down. Tighten the two window track screws to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.)
Attach the door glass by sliding the two channel nuts into the slotted holes in the regulator arm Glass Channel Front Attaching Nut and Glass Channel Rear Attaching Nut Tighten the door glass channel nuts to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.)
Connect the wire harness connector to the power regulator motor.
Using an adhesive/sealant (3M 08041 or 08044 is recommended), install the plastic watershield to the door inner panel.
Reverse the remaining removal procedures to complete the installation
