Dodge Repair: 2003 Dodge ram van w/3.9liter v6, dodge ram van, bell housing

Question
QUESTION: I bought this low mileage (22,000) vehicle from a dealer and less than 1,000
miles later it developed a rear main bearing seal leak which they agreed to fix.
all day in the waiting room and then they couldn't get the oil pan to seat
properly.  They paid for a rental car for me to get home (140 miles) ordered
and installed a new oil pan and I picked it up.  It was dry when I picked it up
but when I got home the bell housing was wet again.  Is this a common
problem?  Has there been a TSB about this or do you think something was
done wrong?

ANSWER: no tsb that I see

QUESTION: Shouldn't this be a fairly straight forward repair and what could have gone
wrong?

Answer
I cant vouch for any one by myself for doing a repair  I get questions all the time like why is this leaking after I replaced what ever  and I tell them the same thing  I don't have an issue when I do stuff like that  so it could be as simple as the guy did not clean off the pan good enough  or he was not experienced enough to know to put rtv on the corners of the pan.
