Dodge Repair: rebuilt transmission, bump jump, quality workmanship

Question
QUESTION: Had the transmission rebuilt a yr ago. on a 97 stratus es. Have had no problems. However, this pass  monday when shifting gears from park to reverse etc. the car bumped or jumped with a crunch sound. Checked transmission level when warm said add, Checked transmission levels when hot says ok. the sound seems to happen in the morning and when the car has not been used for a couple of days. Is this an indication that this transmission is on its way out? should I add transmission fluid even though warm it says add and hot it says full. Are there any signs to lookout for? Should I take it to the mechanic? Please advise

ANSWER: to many factors are involved in this.
first  depends on who built it  the quality of workmanship they have
2 the parts they used
3rd i cant hear noise over the internet.
I would take it back to them and see what they will do for u.

QUESTION: It did not do the crunch sound or the bump/jump action this morning. To respond to your #2 they gutted the transmission and replaced parts that needed to be replaced and reused parts that did not need to be replaced. The mechanic I used was referred to me by my regular mechanic. Based on the referral and at the time experience, I'd say the repair was done with quality workmanship. This place only does transmissions. since the sound gone today could it just need a lubercant? is that possible? When I say lubercant I'm thinking along the lines of something simmular to the lubracante used for new brake squeeking? Doesn't effect the unit just makes the noise go. Or will that impact the function of the transmission?

Answer
there is only one fluid in the trans  and that is it.  what ever noise u heard is not normal and if it gets worse then it will haft to be looked into. It is your call on what u do like I said I can not vouch for who ever did it and the quality of parts and such the work as well.
Compare it to this
going to IHOP and getting a steak  and then going to Ruths Chris and getting one  both steak  but one is far better.
