Dodge Repair: Transmission and radiator, powertrain warranty, dodge neon

Question
I have a 2003 Dodge Neon that a dealership indicated that the radiator "went bad". The result is that antifreeze has leaked into the transmission. What would need to go bad for this to occur? Also at issue is the fact that extended powertrain warranty is said to not apply as the radiator is the cause versus something in the transmission that would be covered. Can you offer ann opinion on that as well?

Thanks

Answer
if the tranny cooler is built into the radiator  and it cracked inside  and cause the coolant and tranny fluid to mix  then yeah  U would need a new radiator and some how clean out the tranny fluid. I can no offer any help with the warranty  the power train is what it said  power train  the radiator is not part and if it cause internal damage to the tranny  it is still not covered.  This would go along the same line as  say a suspension part broke and it flew up and put a hole in the tranny case. Same deal  its not an internal issue with the tranny  is was caused by something else  and thus not covered.
