Dodge Repair: dodge diesel, throtle body, dodge diesel

Question
We have a 2004 dodge diesel 2500 with about 258000 miles. We think the tps sensor is bad. Sometimes when you give it gas it just sits there, You can be driving down the road and all of a sudden you are not going anywhere. You can put the peddle to the floor and nothing, then all of sudden like it went it is back again. It also will sometimes act like you have it to the floor when you don't and really want to take off. Not good. My question is- is there any way to get around not having a tps sensor? They are really expensive for such a small piece. Will not replacing it right away make the problem worse? Anything we could do would help. Thanks

Answer
u will haft to take it to the dealer  they dont sell a  single tps   for your truck its called an APP sensor  and there are 2 of them  plush  u will haft to get a whole throtle body assembly and have the dealer relearn the sensors position once installed or u wont go any where.
