Dodge Repair: 96 caravan front wiper quit, fuse box, external switch

QUESTION: My 96 caravan wiper quit.  It works only on wash mode.  I replaced multiswitch, 2 relays in the hood fuse box.  It does not help.  I check the electrical at the connector. Nothing comes in.  I crossed the wire.  The wiper work ok.  I hope it it not BCM because other functions work fine.  Please help. Where can I go from here?  Thanks.

ANSWER: when u turn on the wipers do u get the voltage at the connector  ? How about if u check for a ground on pin 85 of the wiper relay  if u dont get a ground on that pin then yeah BCM and or junction block  I have seen both do that issue.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.

QUESTION: I do not get voltage at the connector.  Pins 85 on front- wiper-on and hi/lo relays are open.  I have 12 volts on pin 86 and 87 at the front-wiper-on relay.  I hope it is the ground.  The BCM is very pricey.  I am in Arizona.  Thank you very much for your help.

ANSWER: if u dont get a ground on pin 85 when u turn on the wipers  its the BCM

QUESTION: Thank you very much.  I would like to be sure that I did it right.  I pulled the relays out to determine whether the pin 85 is open.  I turned the wiper switch to high.  Do I need to leave the relay in the socket?  If I leave the relay in the socket and ground the pin 85, will the wiper run?  I am thinking of put a external switch for the wiper rather than buying the BCM.  What do you think?  Thank you again.  You have been a great help.

relay out  the grounds and such will be the same  all the relay does is a form of control for something that required more amps  aka bigger wires. Find pin 85  make sure u dont have a ground on it when the switch is off.  turn it on and then see if u get the ground  if yes  then bcm is good  and time to look else where  no ground  let me know and i will get the pin out for the BCM/junction block and we can see if u have it right out of one of those 2 and then say for sure  bcm/junction block.
