Dodge Repair: 1998 Dodge Durango A/C, dodge durango, ac system

Question
QUESTION: Hi Kevin, The A/C in my Durango has a problem. It blows fine, and the compressor clicks on & off fine. The back vents blow cold air. THe front is the problem. When set at a lower fan speed, the air comes out fairly cool, but the higher the fan speed, the warmer the air. Also, the air will blow just a bit cooler while driving it vs. idling at a stoplight. I had it checked and serviced recently and was told that there was no leak. The pressure on the high side reads full, but I can't find the low side port to check the pressure there. (Yeah, I know... I am probably staring right at it and just can't see it. Either that or I am just an idiot) Any afvice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. THank you in advance.

ANSWER: Durangos have a issue with the ac system not being big enough to cool off the cabin as well as some other trucks and stuff. U have a large cabin and alot of heat inside there so it takes some time to cool it all off. Physics is at work when u drive and its cooler  that normal for all cars. The heat can be exchanged much better when the truck is in motion. Do u have the rec on inside  that makes a difference as well.
Here are some tips for making it a bit better. When u first get in let the windows down for 2 min and drive with the ac on outside air. The put the windows up and then turn on rec  that way the hotter air will be let out and has less heat for teh ac to remove.

QUESTION: Right now the windows don't even work. I am trying to get help with that too. However, when I go anywhere, I open all the doors and the hatch and let the A/C run for a bit before we go anywhere. I have tried switching it to outside air and then back to rec air but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Also, as I said, the air DOES blow cooler the lower the fan speed is, and even while in motion the air still isn't cool enough to keep us from sweating. I did find out that the port we checked was indeed the low side port and as I said before, it read "full". There was no flucuation and as I said before, it was checked recently and cleared for leaks. Is it possible that the air has inadvertantly been diverted when I had it serviced? Is it possible to divert the cold air flow? Also, when I was driving it to VA, the day AFTER I had it serviced, all of a sudden while I was driving, the air just stopped blowing altogether. You could still hear the fan, but it was as if the vents had all of a sudden gotten clogged and it temporarily blocked the airflow. This only lasted about 2 or 3 minutes, and it only happened once, but the air temperature problem has gotten increasingly worse since then.

Answer
Dodge has a few tsbs for issues  but u should like a few other things as well is wrong  aka windows  blower motor issue  and so on. Have u ever looked up tsb for your durango b4? find 24-11-99 and 23-013-01. Most of that above  i would need to look at personally b4 i could tell u whats is wrong. That type of stuff i just knows it bad by messing with it or using some test euiptment something that i cant just tell u what to look for if u have never messed with it b4.
