Dodge Repair: Replacing my front rotor, dodge ram 1500, metal cap

Question
I have a '98 Dodge Ram 1500.  I am changing the pads on both front wheels and the rotor on the passenger side.  I have the caliper removed and the cap on the end of the axle off.  I am pulling and hitting with a hammer and the rotor will not budge.  Am I missing something or do I just need to keep banging and pulling?

Answer
first of all u need to put a rotor on the other side as well. New bearings inner and outer for both sides and repack them with grease. If u do just one side then u will have uneven braking. Second if u haft to pull a bearing cap off that means u have  2 bearings that will need to be removed b4 the rotors itself will come off the spline. The first bearing is behind a light metal cap to which u will need to pull out the cotor pin then take off the nut then behind that there will be a metal shim and then u got the first bearing. That one will come out easy. The other one will come off with the rotor and if u have new bearings to switch i suggested u don't need to take out the other one.
