Question
hello my name is sam and i have a 96 dodge interpid 3.5... my question is that my car is over heating and i dont know why i replaced my termasat and my oil and i put anafreez in there then i turned my car on then it still over heated on me is it my water pump or my radiator please help............

Answer
if the water pump isn't leaking then it usually isn't the water pump.  There is a bleeder valve on the thermostate housing.  So, with the engine running and the overflow tank full, open the bleeder valve.  keep it open until water is seen comming out.  Also how long has it been since you flushed the cooling system.  The core of the radiator has very small holes and can get glogged up if the system isn't flushed often enough.  You can take the radiator out and take it to a radiator shop and have it (rodded out) cleaned.  They will also do a leak check to see that the rediator is in good working condition.
