Dodge Repair: intermittent AC, pressure transducer, dodge intrepid

Question
93 Dodge Intrepid 3.3
The AC comes and goes, it is charged and blows cold when it wants to work (39 degrees)
The blower switch works at all speeds.
To make the AC work I must play with the switches, turning the system on and off until it "catches" and stays on.
When it works it works properly, it cycles like it should, I can press the AC button to turn it on and off.
But when it doesn't, pressing the AC button does nothing...I must play with all the controls until it comes on.
Sometimes the AC light goes off and it blows hot, pressing the AC button does nothing, I turn the blower switch back and forth until the AC light comes on and then it works. The blower fan always works at whatever speed it is set to.
It sounds like a computer issue to me and my limited knowledge.
I have been told that a control module is going bad, do you know what this module is called?
I have found a BCM for around $50 on eBay, but I don't know if this module controls the AC.
Is there an AC control module?
Could I have a problem with the pressure transducer? Where would that be located?

Answer
Hi,
I would have the electrical switch panel checked.  If you find no problems with that.  Check the low pressure switch.  Also if you go to Auto Zone they sell a Haynes repair manual for your car for around $18.  This will explain how to repair your car in simple language.  It may also be handy for future reference.
