Dodge Repair: Dodge Dakota motor problems, dodge dakota, travel path

Question
I have a 1989 dodge dakota with the 3.9 V6 and a 5 speed transmission. To make a long story short, the truck has no power anymore.I've tried lots of little things, new plugs, wires, air cleaner, distributor cap, but they don't seems to really help. Also there is a bad spot in the throttle. I thought it was probobly the TPS switch so a put another one on. The problem didn't go away. So i don't know if the two are related somehow, and without doing some sort of major overhaul, i don't know what else to do to it. I hope you can help.
Thanks,
Adam

Answer
check and see if the throttle body is worn out in the shaft pivot area,  that is what it sounds like.

If it is worn, it could be "out of position" in its travel path and not let you have full control of your power range

I would go to the junk yard for this item if I could; but be sure and check its condition in the throttle area closely
