Dodge Repair: Air bags light of Dodge Caravan 1999, airbag sensor, discount auto parts

The airbag light of a Dodge caravan 1999 came on. How can I check it my self? I know there is an airbag sensor, where can I find it?

Answer
First off disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes.  Reconnect the battery and this should reset the sensors.  If it doesn't you will have to go to a discount auto parts store and get a book that covers your van.  Follow the instructions very carfully.  If you do the procedure wrong you will set off the air bags.  The battery should be disconnected for at least 10 minutes before attempting any repair to the airbag system.
