Answer
Stop pulling out your hair, that's something you can't get at the parts store.

Try swapping the tire to the left rear of the vehicle.  If the noise moves it's in your tire.  Also, move the left front tire to the right rear if the noise doesn't change.  Do one at a time and drive in between changes.

Frequently, the noise is actually coming from a worn tire and not the bearing itself.  Even more confusing is that the noise does not always come from the side you're thinking it is.  Swapping the tires frequently will help rule out the possibility of abnormal tread or seperated belts being the source of your noise.

You can inspect the tires by place your hand on the top/tread section and running it around the circumference of it.  Then reverse directions.  Often times a roaring noise from the tires will be felt and described as smooth in one direction and bites in to hand in the opposite.  This can be felt on the outside, the inside or the center.  Most of the time though it's inner or outer but not both.  This would be an indication of alignment being off.

The tie-rod end and rack would not create a roaring noise.  Popping, creaking, p/s fluid leakage, and unstable steering would all be symptoms.  But when driving there's really no parts that move at a frequency.  Your wheels, brake rotors, wheel bearings and trans components on the other hand do move at a frequency that increases and decreases while speeding up and slowing down.

Swap the tires and let me know what you find.
