Dodge Repair: 1999 Grand Caravan died, grand caravan sport, blown head gasket

Question
I have a 1999 Grand Caravan Sport that has 152k.  Never ever had 1 minute of trouble with till yesterday.  All scheduled maintenance was done on time.  Van would not turn over two times and then did on the third. Started rough making a very loud broken belt sort of noise.  Went to immediately shut off van and even after removing key from ignition van was STILL running!  Lifted hood and van was smoking badly from front of cylinder head area.  Van finally shut off after reinserting key in ignition and turning over with it running .  Coolant is now down to add and oil is down a quart.  Serp belt is intact.  Could this be a blown head gasket?  No leaks or fluids on the ground underneath.  Before yesterday did not ever run hot or show any classic signs of a blown or leaking head gasket.  Fluids are always changed on time and periodically checked.  I didnt check the color of the coolant in the tank.  Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
