I believe my car is leaking gas. I took it to a mechanic and they said they "fixed" it. We still smelt gas a few weeks later...so we took it back and they "fixed" it. It's still melling like gas. You can't see gas anywhere on the ground but there is still a faint smell. Is this serious? The car doesn't seem to be loosing much fuel either. Is it possible that it's the fuel pump and not just a hole in the tank? And is this going to cost much?

thire is a vapor line comeing off the top of the tank . If they did not tighten this line you would have this problem. If you keep smeling it in the neax week i would bring it back and have then=m drop the tank and recheck the line . should not smell gas pete
