Dodge Repair: Jeep Grand Cherokee studering when accelerating, jeep grand cherokee, studering

Question
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 1996 with the 6 cylinder engine.  I know that this is not one of the cars you list but it might be a general enough question.  When accelerating hard, like up a hill, it feels like the car is not getting enough gas.  It will start to buck and then stop when i let off the gas.  It drives fine other then very hard acceleration.  Also i smell burnt rubber after this happens.  I know that i have a hole in my muffler and i changed all plugs and wires about 3 months ago and did not have a problem untill now.  Any ideas?  Thanks, Tom

Answer
The burnt rubber smell may be your serpentine belt, something may not be rotating right like it's supposed to and when you accelerate hard it's burning the belt.  As far as the accelerator problem, you may have a plugged fuel filter and/or failing fuel pump.
