Dodge Repair: 98 Dodge Neon left rear wheel, dodge neon, rear strut

Question
My daughter called from college (about 200 miles away from home) and said she had tried to back out of her parking spot at school, but the left rear tire won't turn, (98 Dodge Neon) she says the right rear turns fine. She says the left rear just scoots and it doesn't matter whether she tries to go forwards or backwards. She told me she remembers hitting a pothole just before pulling into the parking lot.

The only thing I could think of was the brakes on that side somehow locked up, but I can't believe they would grab like that. The only other thing I can think of is the wheel bearing.

Not being able to look at it makes it somewhat tough to make a guess. Has Dodge had any problems that would cause this? If not, could there be another problem other than the two I mentioned?
Thanks,
Keith

Answer
hello keith
No thire is no problem with the wheels locking up on theys cars .
when she hit the pot hole as you said she either ruined the wheel bearing or could have bent the rear strut or brake is locked . tell her to release the e brake 2 or 3 times see if it will on lock .

good luck to u both and please rate my serivice pete
