Dodge Repair: 94 DODGE CARAVAN ENGINE STOP, dodge caravan, desert sand

Pete, 2 years ago while on a trip to Colorado from Sn Diego, in the high desert of California and Utah, my 94 dodge caravan would start losing power, the oil pressure would drop to zero and the engine would quit.  After pulling over and waiting for 30 to 45 minutes it would start bck up and off we would go.  Everything would be normal for an hour or so and then it would happen again.  After getting back to San Diego it didn't happen again until yesterday.  What could be wrong?

the first thing u want to do is a good tune up air breather and gas filter it could be desert sand in the breather not leting the eng. breath it also could be 02 senser . it is best to get a diagnostiac test to . this would let u know where the problems lies . Let me tell u if u come to my shop i would want to keep the car for 2 days and drive it to use scanner when it happen this is really the way to go . pete
