Ford Repair: Replace blend door actuator, ford taurus, glove compartment

Hi Brian,

How difficult would it be for a novice to replace a blend door actuator in a 2000 Ford Taurus?  Based on what I've seen I'd need to take the glove compartment off and the actuator should be accessible from there.  Is this a difficult repair?  I know it'll take some time, but I'd really like to save money. Plus, I have 302,000 miles on the car and I'm basically just trying to make it through the winter.

it's not completelt difficult. there are definatley other things i'd rather be doing. l.o.l.  if it helps. if you go to you tube and type  "how to replace the blend door actuator on my ??? " you will actually find a video you can watch of multiple short cuts.
