Ford Repair: bleeding coolant system, coolant system, radiator flush

Question
do i need to bleed coolant system after thermostat change and radiator flush on my 1992 ford explorer?

Answer
yes, there are a couple ways to do it, the sell a funnel for about 15 bucks at your local auto parts store that you mount on the raditator. you fill the coolant through this and one the system is full- you keep filling this funnel till it's about 1/10 the way full. as the system heats up and coolant expands. this funnel level will rise. one the thermostat opens. the level will drop and you will refill the system. the other way which is messy is to try to repeat the above without this funnel.
