Ford Repair: window relay 2004 Thunderbird, broken wires, best guess

QUESTION: Both power windows stopped working fuses r ok. I thought it might be the relay,but I do not know where it is located.Thank you for your help & insight

ANSWER: my best guess is you lost a ground. open the driver's door, between the door and body you should see a rubber boot with wires running through it, push this boot back and check for any broken wires in it

hello, there is no relay for the window motors, they are controlled by what is called the front electronic control module. i have to ask, did they both stop working at the same time. here are a few scenario's either broken power wire to the driver's window switch. ( the pass side feeds off the driver's side ). you can try resetting the front electronic module by disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes or the driver's window switch is faulty
