My air conditioner works while driving on highway but does not cool while idling like at stop signs or traffic lights.I have had my freon checked.thanks for any help you can give me  Vickie

you need to check if the engine cooling fan is running while at idle and the a/c on. if it is not, replace it. the cooling fan keeps a/c pressures down. driving down the road/highway simulates this/ start the vehicle and turn on a/c. open the vehicle's hood. listen or watch for the electric fan towards the front of the vehicle for movement
