Ford Repair: 2000 Ford Focus electrical, girl scout troop, amp fuses

Question
QUESTION: This particular car is my 19 year old daughters.A week ago she went on a short trip for her sisters girl scout troop. She called me when they were leaving to come home saying the car would not start. The woman with her suggested it was the battery so they went and bought a replacement at Autozone.Upon the two of them installing it,2 small wires were left off of the ground side. She said the car still wouldn't start so they tried jumping it-still no start. It was then they noticed the wires off, they then installed them on the negative side where they needed to be,the car then started but since that time this car has no brake lights,no wipers, power windows inoperable, heater blower motor doesn't work and the car cannot be taken out of park without sticking a key in the bypass slot.Fuses are all good so I'm at a loss here.Oh and two weeks ago the car was towed to the local Ford garage for the ignition switch issue common to the Focus,I believe they replaced it.Any ideas?

ANSWER: First i need to ask, did they check the fuse both inside the vehicle and under the hood, the are two fuse compartments

QUESTION: I haven't had anyone look at the car other than the local Ford garage fixing the ignition swith,my daughter had that done.It was the week following that these issues came up after the battery was changed.I checked the fuses in both boxes both visually and with a continuity tester. While the fuses I checked were all good, there is no current to the lower left side of the fuse box inside the car where there is a 15,20 and two 25 amp fuses.According to the fuse box cover, the 25 amp fuse are for the power windows, don't recall on the other two.I didn't check the relays in the underhood box as I had no way of testing them and I wasn't sure how they come out.I took the covers off of two that are at the top of the inside fuse box.Checking them with the continuity tester showed they have current.Believe one is for the horn as it went off when I touched it with the tester. It's my understanding there are relays on the backside of the inside fuse panel,is that correct? While I haven't worked on cars for a living in 13 years,it seems to me the non working items would be on the same circuit/relay as they are all "heavy current draw" items,is that correct?

Answer
you will need to check all the fuses under the hood using a test light. all the components you list are fead from sepereate fuses that are all fead from the fuse box under the hood. problem with using a continuity meter is, even with high resistance, you will still see continuity even though there can be no current flow.
