Ford Repair: F150 Cruise Control, fuse box, cruise control

Hi Brian,

I have a 2003 F150 XL Sport, step side pick up.

My cruise control has stopped working and I don't know where to begin diagnosing the problem.

I have checked the fuse box under the dash and all fuses are good.

When I push the Cruise control "ON" button the light on the dash does not light until the "SET/Accel" button is pressed, however the cruise control does not engage.

Any help pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

if the light on the dash is coming on, i have 2 recommendations. first, i'm pretty sure your vehicle has the recall on it to have the brake switch on the master cylinder replaced. if this is o.k. then you will need to replace the cruise control servo which is what controls the cable to activate the cruise.
