Ford Repair: Power Window Problems, ford explorer xlt, multiple wires

Question
I recently replaced the power window motor on my front passenger side door on my '99 Ford Explorer XLT.

After replacing the motor I was finally able to roll my window down. But quickly found out that it wouldn't roll up. I've been messing with this ever since I've replaced it. The only way I'm able to roll the window back up is to remove the motor, and then pull the window up by hand. So after doing that I just keep the motor wires un-hooked. So now I basically have a brand new window motor sitting in my door that I can't use because I can't get the window to roll back up

I've searched everywhere on what the problem might be and how to fix it, but I've had no luck at all. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

Answer
open the drivers door, you will see a rubber snorkle that connects the door to the vehicle. thr right side of the snorkle, push back into the body of the vehicle and remove the snorkle from the door/ inside you will find multiple wires. look for a black or i believe dark blue wire, either way- there is a breal in the wiring in this spot causing your concern. very common problem. keep me posted.. -b-
