Ford Repair: 2001 Ford Escape - Rough Idle, Low power, vacuum line, maf sensor

Question
2001 Ford Escape 3.0 V6, Automatic:  Replaced the upper and lower intake gaskets and plugs in attempt to correct rough idle and dying after starting until warmed-up.  Drove the vehicle to reset the fuel mapping and after apx. 20 miles of driving, suddenly terrible acceleration and low power.  Vehicle revs freely in park neutral but makes terrible power under load.  Zero acceleration up even a slight grade.  Tested fuel pressure and it's good @ 60 PSI

Answer
no check engine light ???  first disconnect the vacuum line to the egr valve see if it makes a difference. if not disconect the maf sensor * 5-6 )pin connector located on the hose coming from the air cleaner. if this doesnt help. then the problem is your catalityc converters are clogged. very common problem. easiest way to diag is to loosen up the exhaust connected to the  exhaust maifolds and see how it runs. get back to me -b-
