Ford Repair: hard to start taurus, taurus 3, ford taurus

Hi, I hope you can help its a 98 ford Taurus 3.0 always maintained fuel filters  oil changes ect .But latley it has been hard to start  (cold and hot ) its not like  i have to crank it over for a real long time but i want to fix it before it gets worse ,when its runing it drives good no problems, it has 90,000 miles . Hi Gary, There are many things that can cause this.  Th two most common. There is a calibration update for this concern through your ford dealer. also try this, cycle the key on for 5 seconds then of for 2 seconds then back on and try to start vehicle. if you notice this helps your vehcilce to start easier, then the problem is that the check valve in your fuel pump is allowing the fuel pressure to bleed off and eventual complete pump failure. try this first and get back to me
