Ford Repair: comarison, crown vic, reliability factor

Question
I am purchasing either a 100k miles Crown Vic/Merc Grand Marquee or a Lincoln and would like to know if they are mechanically the same? Do they share the same reliability records? I assume a Lincoln being heavier may have beefier brakes and suspension but anything else noteworthy? A crown vic is certainly cheaper than a Lincoln but if the reliability is all the same I may go with a Crown Vic. What is your opinion?

Answer
Hello Larry, The vehicles are pretty much the same as far as powertrain and suspension. accessories is where it will be different on the vehicles. I have a 1994 crown vic with 190,000 miles on it and drive it everyday. All 3 have a great reliability factor. Hope this helps thanks Tony
