Ford Repair: 1996 3.0l Ford Taurus, ford service manual, ford taurus

Question
Are there any particular problems encountered when replacing the A/C compressor. I live in Australia and not many mechanics are up to speed on the Ford Taurus.

Thanks

Answer
Hello Neil, This is per ford service manual for a taurus with a 2v engine. Hopefully this helps you out some. Thanks Tony                                                             When A/C compressor (19703) is inoperative due to internal causes, clean the refrigerant system by flushing or filtering to remove any debris or contaminants and prevent damage to the replacement A/C compressor.

The A/C evaporator core orifice (19D990) should be replaced whenever the A/C compressor is replaced for lack of performance or when there is debris in the system.

3.0L (2V) Engine
