Ford Repair: wont start sometimes and then dies, lincoln town car, mass airflow sensor

Hi!  I have a 97 Lincoln Town Car (signiture series), and it won't start sometimes. Maybe after 4-5 trys, then it runs smoothly but then car turns off at slow speeds when accelerator is not being pressed.
I've put in a new battery, checked wires and cables, new fuel pump, relay and gas fuel filter.
Please help!

clean throttle bore and idle control motor-then clean mass airflow sensor be sure and don't break filaments on sensor. then drive about five miles making several stops it may die first 3-4 stops but should get better.

be sure and look on rt rear of intake manifold to be sure you don't have a vacuum leak.
