Ford Repair: tranny leak, ford diesel, diesel trucks

Have had no leaks until today now it wont hold fluid. is leaking from the front of the tranny the drip is coming domwn fr the round part of the tranny. How do i figure out where the leak is exactly then how do I fix it?

it would help if you would tell yr/make an model and mileage and some vehicles are more prone to certain leaks mileage greatly affects where leaks are. with no more info than what i have it sounds like front pump seal would be leaking especially if high mileage-150,000 or up. if it has lower mileage a front pump is unlikely-earlier ford diesel trucks were prone to torque convertor leaks. you can follow up with more info if you want to and i will try and narrow it down for you
although any leaks really need to be looked at to verify it. good luck.
