Ford Repair: replacement of fuel injectors, fuel injectors, 1998 ford escort

Question
1998 ford escort, When I replace the fuel injectors is there any special thing I need to know? I know the system needs to be depressurized. Is there anything else? Thanks

Answer
It depends whether or not you are replacing all of them or not. If so, there is not really anything of note. If not, be very careful with the others. The tip on the fuel injector gets very brittle over time. It doesn't take very much to crack them. Since pulling the entire rail is necessary, go ahead and grab some o-rings to put on the old injectors as well. Moving them around also messes them up. Other than that just patience. You have a pretty straight forward task. There are only the four of them.
