Ford Repair: 01 taurus a c, fuse block, pressure switches

Question
Clutch went bad a couple of months ago, replaced comp. Noe the comp doesn't always engage. Comp checked out good, replaced both high and low pressure switches. You can turn on the a c and get nothing but warm air then after a little while it will work fine. may work the next few hours then the clutch just won't engage. freeon is full. no bad fusees that I could find. Thanx in advance for any help. Doc

Did you replace compressor with new or used unit? if new you may have a bad pressure or cycling switch, if used or rebuilt you may have a bad clutch coil or gap may be to wide on clutch.
you can also check a/c fuse in fuse block as they are bad about burning the block and will lose power at times. pull the fuse out and look at fuse block to see if it is burnt. you can also swap a/c relay with horn relay. if you have access to test light when compressor is not working check and see if you have power on one wire to clutch coil then swap wire to positive cable and check other wire to see if you have ground.
good luck and follow up it needed.
