Ford Repair: Erase Check Engine Codes, luck chris, spark plug

Question
If I get a check engine code for cylinder 3 and I replace the spark plug for that cylinder.  Then vehicle runs ok.   My question is:  "How do I erase the Codes in the vehicle's memory?"

hey there, on some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to clear fault codes. but on some they codes will have to be cleared by computer, also most vehciles will clear the codes by itself when the pcm notices the fault is no longer there after a certain amount of drive cycles, ( I believe 10).
