Ford Repair: wild steering vibrations, tie rod ends, front end vibration

Question
I have a 2005 F350 4x4. 100,000 kms on the truck. I have replaced all the tie rod ends and ball joints that showed wear. Also the horizontal stabilizer shock. I have adjusted the steering box to the limit and it still has a very dangerous front end vibration above 80km per hr. Tires were balanced and front end aligned. I beleive I need to replace the steering box or rebuild it. Do you concure with this? Can the rear extra load springs have a effect on the front end vibration? Where can I get a kit to rebuild this steering box?

Answer
hey there. A steering bx is almost not even worth rebuilding anymore the kits i dont even think are available anymore. Anyways, You should have the tires ROAD FORCE balanced, this tye of balance detects hard or soft spots in the tire tha can also give you a bad shimmy. IS there any play in the steering box. I dont think i have ever heard of a shimmy because of a faulty steering box. Chec the idler arm for play and check those tires and get back to me. good luck
