Ford Repair: 2000 F350 V10, head screwdriver, release tabs

Question
where is the fuel filter located on this truck?

Answer
It is located along the frame rail underneath the cab area. All you need to do is loosen the bracket that holds the filter which frees up the fuel filter. There are quick release tabs on the connectors to free up the fuel lines.Remove the old filter and install the new one with a new set of retaining clips that should come with the new filter. If the new filter does not come with the filter, no worries, they are reusable as long as you don't damage them while removing them. Either way you can pick the retainers up at the parts store for under five dollars. Using a common head screwdriver is the easiest and most effective way to remove the retainer clips. Just be careful not to get the fuel in your eyes, as it is certain to leak out. A catch pan is strongly advised for environmental reasons.
