QUESTION: the solenoid i was talking about is a starter solenoid we are trying to get the truck on the road and we have been through 5 or 6 of them they work for 3 or 4 starts and then quit any help would be greatly appreciated

Answer
hey again. i beleive that you may be having a problem with the starter itself. if the startor is wearing out. the resistance it takes to turn increases. causeing alot of heat in the wiring before the startor, and also make sure the cable are hooked up properly that can play a big parts in buring out the solenoids,  let me know what happens, good luck
