Ford Repair: AC blowing hot air, ford lariat, automatic climate control

Like another gentleman in the forum, I'm having the same problem with my 1999 Ford Lariat,5.4 . When I accelerate I hear a thump. If the AC is on it immediately starts blowing hot air. My husband replaced the blend door motor, but it's still doing it. Ughh help!! It's a hot southern night and I need air.

And the answer to your question is no...it does NOT have climate control.

Hello Nay, I would guess the door is broken inside the heater case in which the motor controls. The only way to correct is the dash has to be removed to access the plenum case to replace the door. I am making a guess at this with out any testing. Hope this helps. Thanks Tony
