Ford Repair: Stumped, ford bronco, dash area

Question
I have a 94 ford bronco and every time I turn on my climate control (heat, ac, vent, or defrost it does it to them all) my  speedo and odometer short out and stop working and the tranny starts shifting hard?  I'm no expert but I know my way around a car pretty good but I'm completely lost on this one.

hey there, well this is going to be an obviouse electrical issue, the hard part is finding the problem, if all you problems are happening in the dash area then that will be the best place to start, seeing as this is a 94, it is not equiped with an OBD2 system, so i am not to familiar with anything this old. the first thing I would do is remove the radio if it above the climat control system, and stick your head under the dash, inspect all wirings physical condition and see if there is an obviouse short circuit somewhere, depending on what modules this vehicle is equiped with, there is also a possiblity of a failing module, let me know what happenes, good luck
