Ford Repair: 2003 mustang gt, pinion bearings, axle bearings

Question
My mustang is making a loud roaring noise in the rear end. The oil has been changed in the rear end, but the noise has not stopped. Any suggestions as to what it could be?

Answer
if it is a constant roar it is most likely pinion bearings

if it is a whine noise that changes when you accelerate and decel then it is probably ring gear noise

if it is slight roar that changes as you move left or right could be axle bearings.

good luck
