Ford Repair: ignition switch removal, lock cylinder, steering column

Question
My 1995 Windstar has a sloppy ignition switch. The keyguide-twist hood over the ignition lock cylinder is loose on the ignition lock cylinder.  I would like to remove the ignition lock but the directions in my Chilton manual aren't clear, at least to me.  To remove the upper steering column shroud, you have to first remove that keyguide-twist and I don't know how to do that.  The hole in the shroud cover won't let it slip over the "keyguide-twister" my terminology". I'm hesitant to just start prying on things.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Answer
look under key find small hole in plastic cover-take small pick push in hole and turn key to run position not start-when you feel pick push a pin up just pull out on key and lock cylinder-to reinstall just push new one in and turn key-get your new lock cyinder first and look for pin on bottom then you will see what i am talking about. good luck.
