Ford Repair: Heater/AC Blower Speed, eddie bauer, speed controller

My 2000 Eddie Bauer Explorer has just started to have only high speed from the heater/ac blower.  I think this indicates a failure of the speed controller.  From searching the net, it seems it is either a speed controller or resistor...maybe the same thing.  I find there is a small box on the exterior of the blower motor with a number that appears to be XL2H-19E624-AB.  Is that the part that may need replacement?  If so, can you recommend a source and give me any pointers as to how to replace it?

that or the fan switch would be the most likely repeat likely until it is actually checked out and verified any part put on is a guess but
i would buy mine from ford only aftermarket electrical parts are really getting cheap (china) and are giving more and more trouble. just unbolt/unscrew it to get it out.
