Ford Repair: F250 Computer Modification, blown head gasket, ungodly sum

Question
Hey i have a 2004 F250 6.0 Turbo Diesel. If My computer has been reprogrammed before i bought it and i do not have access to the programmer is there any way i can bring it back to factory specs? i have a blown head gasket and the "mod" voided the warranty on the engine. the dealership quoted me some ungodly sum to fix the computer. i am just wondering if there is a way to reset the specs back to factory with out the same kind of programmer. thank  you for any help.

Answer
No, unfortunately you will need a programmer to reset to factory specs. You can pick one up at a parts store for about 200-300 dollars. However, most parts stores have a return policy, just tell them the darn thing didn't work. This is not something I recommend usually, but I think that it will help you out of your current predicament.
