Ford Repair: 99 ford explorer limited, vacuum leak, foot on the gas

I have a 99 ford explorer limited. When I start the vehicle in the morning i hae to consistantly keep my foot on the gas to keep it from stalling. after about ten minutes of doing this and the vehicle is warm I have no problem keeping it running. what could be the cause of this?

probably a vacuum leak under middle intake manifold-this can be smoke tested by a local garage if they have a smoker-it would have to be left overnight so they could test it cold as it will seal up when warm-also dirty throttle bore and or bad idle motor. there are other things these are more common.
