Ford Repair: 2007 Ford F150 fumes coming in through heating system, 2007 ford f150, rt side

Question
I am getting strong fuel smells coming into the cab of the truck when the heater is on and blowing. It gets worse when you come to a stop and then accelaerate. What could cause this? It does not happen when heater is off.

Answer
Hello Frank, If you're getting a strong fuel smell start checking for a possible leak in the engine area, the freash air for inside the vehicle comes in at the rt side cowling area under the trim cover. If your vehicle is still under warranty get it in to a dealer to look at it for you. Thanks Tony
